I gave away all but three of my beloved fake outdoor plants this year. (Iiiii know! 🤯) During the baby phase, I could barely load the dishwasher let alone keep vegetation alive. And every time a well-intentioned person would try to tell me how fun it was to take care of a garden, I’d be like, “k yeah cool but it would also be really fun to shower today.” 🤣 Now the girls are older, though. And while I’d give anything to hold my tiny babies again, I really appreciate having a bit more autonomy… and clean hair. 😉 Today I spent hours working on our patio “garden” while my four-year-old sidekick played make-believe, watched cartoons, snuggled with Noodle and directed me where to put planters. I loved it. I loved working with my hands, turning my mind off, being outside, giving our backyard some TLC, the satisfaction of finishing a task, and chatting with Luce. Real Plants, there’s no way you would have survived here a few years ago. ☠️ But glad you’re here now! 🌱

Okay hold up these are copies of the famous Anthropologie pants yet they’re UNDER $50. And while I normally think copies aren’t as good, THESE ARE. Their only drawback is that they only come in navy (which I’m wearing), black and olive green. But guys they’re SO comfy yet make you look like you tried. I looooove them. TTS.

I've been really enjoying posting old school #OOTDs here. Something I've come to reject in my late 30s is the notion that we should always be pushing ourselves to the extreme. If we're not falling into bed utterly exhausted at the end of the day, we could have done more. I could go on and on about this—and I just deleted a hot 250 words on it 😆—but I'm just a mom, standing in front of her internet friends, asking if posting old school #OOTDs is okay. Of course, drive is one (ONE) of the best characteristics a woman can have. But it's also perfectly fine if said woman tuckers out at the end of the day after experiencing so much joy and frustration and grossness and cuteness and love... and uses IG as the fun little outlet she'd originally intended it to be. 😉 So here are my favorite pants, in an under-$50 ponte version. Peanut butter seamlessly wipes off them, and the front patch pockets can hold an astonishingly large number of priceless leaves and twigs. Best of all, they don't wrinkle when miniature humans climb into your lap for cuddles. They make me feel good, and I hope they make you feel good, too. ♥️ K, bye. 😅
